I really don't know why I'm posting this video...
But I couldn't help but notice that this song is exactly like Katy Perry's "Ur So Gay"
Except this is faster.
Well, these two are hot as fuck, so I guess that counts for something.
Clip was filmed in hipster Brooklyn. Reppin hard. Ha!

Kaw Z750B Custom
Wow. Wrenchmonkeys never, ever disappoint, but this is just an absolute work of art...
To say that I am sexually aroused would only begin to describe the feeling I get when I gawk at this bike.
As always, from Bike EXIF:
Ever heard of a Kawasaki Z970? Neither had we. But that’s the moniker the Wrenchmonkees have given their latest custom, a stunning Z750B that’s been bored out to almost a liter. It’s the pet project of company founder Per Nielsen, who wanted to build “the perfect City-Dirt tracker” with a beefed-up motor and loads of torque. According to Nielsen, “Our local engine workshop was keen on the idea of a big bore engine as well. But there are no kits or tuning parts available for these old twins, so we had to do it ourselves.” While the workshop machined out the cylinders, Wössner in Germany built new 89mm diameter pistons. The top end of the DOHC motor was ported and everything else was checked, replaced or fixed.
More visible is the departure from the Wrenchmonkees’ signature monochrome look, with an orange frame and pinstriping on the tank. The exhaust pipes are attention-grabbing too; taken from a Yamaha XT500, they’re hooked up to a SuperTrapp muffler system—which has been routed to the left side, to avoid the rear brake master and sections of the wiring. Carburetion proved trickier to sort out: “The old carbs are very difficult to find new parts for, apart from gasket kits,” says Per. “I tried with a ‘standard’ Keihin CR33 upgrade, but that was far from enough. So I put on two SR/XT Mikuni TM36 flatslide carbs, with large K&N filters, and it worked. It runs very smooth, and pulls wheelies on the gas!” (I’m guessing there are a few more ponies than the 50 quoted for the original motor.) The icing on the cake comes from 19″ wheels shod with Maxxis dirt track tires, and the overall effect is taut and purposeful.

I guess I missed this video during the last blizzard, but had to share.
Absolutely blown away. I can't believe anyone would be this irresponsible and reckless.
United Colors of Ricky Martin
I can't tell whether this is a Benetton ad or if it's really the new Ricky Martin son.
You can't hate on the Vida Loca himself, but this is kinda funny.
Awesome As Fuck
I firmly believe that every band should make a "tour announcement" video.
Sadly, I don't think many bands could make one as awesome as this one.
Wowsers.
Truck. Load. Fail.
Maybe if you're bike wasn't 10x your size, you would have pulled this off without a hitch.

I won't judge. Promise.
My friends know that if "Toxic" comes on, I'll be on the dancefloor. Stat. x
O'Reilly Responds
To be fair, this is Bill O'Reilly's response to the Left's discussion of the Right's violent rhetoric.
In my opinion - and it is my fucking blog - I don't think his examples are even remotely comparable.
Most of them are a bit laughable.
I mean really, some hillbilly Democrat shooting a paper "bill" on a tree is not even CLOSE to posting a map of representatives with crosshairs over their districts. Not even fucking close.
And really. Matthews joking around about Rush's head exploding like a Bond film is not the same as Republican leaders asking their constituents to get "locked and loaded"
I'm sorry. I'm trying to be fair. I really am. But geezus fucking christ.
Worst. Argument. Ever.
And I actually RESPECT Bill O'Reilly...
Representative & Rider
From Hell For Leather:
Arizona representative Gabrielle Giffords — recovering in hospital after being shot in the head during an apparent assassination attempt yesterday — isn’t just a Democratic congresswoman. She’s also a motorcyclist. Pictured above with the BMW she hopes to someday ride to Argentina, Giffords says she’s been riding and racing motorcycles for over 20 years. Two years ago, as co-chair of the Congressional Motorcycle Caucus, she had one of the most powerful pro-motorcycling arguments you’ve ever read passed by the House of Representatives.
Black Cards
Black Cards is the new project from Pete Wentz, of Fall Out Boy.
"I'm Miss America, I Miss the UK" is kind of fun. And her vox are way hot.
Atomic Tom Tour 2011
I love this tour announcement in so many ways.
Well done, boys. And best of luck. x
Gaga at the Oak Room
Wow. This would have been pretty fucking cool to catch.
It'd be nice if the bros in the audience would shut the fuck up and listen.
From HitFix:
We hardly expect conventional behavior from Lady Gaga, so it’s no surprise that even when she shows up at a place as staid and traditional at the Plaza Hotel’s Oak Room in New York , she still brings a basic hooker get-up of thigh highs, exposed garter belt and dress with cut outs.
But she was all business when it came to singing. In the clip below, she sings the great Gershwin standard, “Someone to Watch Over Me.”
Wet
Not even the ridiculously hot women in this video can save this atrocity of a pop song.
Snoop, I am deeply saddened by this...
Stop The Vitriol
I believe that Keith has eloquently stated what all of us are feeling right now, both right and left.
Stop the vitriol. Stop the violence.
Not Safe For Work
Singer/Songwriter BluBlu wrote this song for TechCrunch writer, Paul Carr...
Don't really know what to say about it, but of course I had to post.
Joshua Radin
This just came on my Ray LaMontagne Pandora channel.
Joshua Radin's "Only You"
Man, this dude wrote this song when he was deep in it. DEEP.
What a perfect song. x

This is real.

Local Natives on Fallon
I must admit, I am not absolutely crazy about this band, Local Natives.
But I think they're very talented and I can't wait to see them live.
That being said, this is a killer performance on Jimmy Fallon.
"Wide Eyes"
Muppets Do Monster
This is fucking awesome. Like really fucking awesome.
As I've said, this is my favorite hip hop track of 2010. Fact.
But this brings new balls to the game. Outstanding.

A Cinderalla Story
What a story, folks. This just made my day, my week, hell, my year! Oh, wait. It's only January 5th...
Remember I posted the video earlier this week of the homeless gentleman with the incredible speaking voice?
I can't help but get teary eyed to a story like this one. Thank you, internet. Thank you, Ted Williams.
Here's the incredible story, from All Access Music:
What an amazing outcome for TED WILLIAMS as his day with CLEAR CHANNEL Top 40 WNCI/COLUMBUS' MORNING ZOO has resulted in huge turnaround for the homeless airtalent who attracted worldwide attention yesterday (NET NEWS 1/04) when THE COLUMBUS DISPATCH did a story on his situation.
This morning, WNCI's DAVE KAELIN & JIMMY JAM interviewed TED, along with all three local network affiliates as well as INSIDE EDITION, CNN, and the TODAY SHOW, and the floodgates of opportunity opened wide.
Among the offers TED has:
- Arena announcer for THE CLEVELAND CAVALIERS -- including a salary and they will buy him a house
- OHIO CREDIT UNION LEAGUE gave him $10,000 cash and a retainer deal for voicework
- ESPN is reportedly offering him a job
- MTV reportedly wants to discuss a reality series
- A free vacation trip to HILO, HI to voice a commercial ... and the list goes on!
ALL ACCESS spoke with DAVE & JIMMY about the experience. DAVE said, "I've never been on the other side of the media surge like this before! We had 20 people in our studio -- all with live cameras. This was truly amazing. 24 hours ago TED was on a street corner begging for cash -- today he's got some amazing offers. Hopefully he will have someone help him so that he keeps it all together."
JIMMY added, "TED really rolled well with the punches today. We wonder if the CAVS are giving him LeBRON JAMES' old house (rimshot). Today we gave and did as much for anyone person as we've ever done in our 20 years together as a morning show. Tomorrow we flip the coin and are talking to SNOOKIE!"
WNCI PD TONY FLORENTINO told ALL ACCESS, "It was an amazing morning. Voiceover legends JOE CIPRIANO and RANDY THOMAS called in to chat with TED and chatted about him doing some VO work for FOX. I've been in radio a long time now, and this is truly the best day in radio I've ever had."

Phish - "Meatstick" 12/31/10 New Year's Eve from Phish on Vimeo.
Only Phish would release this video footage of their big "Meatstick" rehearsal.
Most bands want all the glam, and none of the background, "man behind the curtain" stuff.
This is what fans are rabid for. This is exactly what we want to see...
Oh fuck, I totally just sounded like Lefsetz there for a minute.
Father + Daughter = Home
This just made me smile bigger than I have in days...

March Forward
This was posted by a man that I am proud to call my friend, Ryan Endicott. He is a veteran of the Iraq conflict and an anti-war leader.
Here is his friend, Mike Prysner, speaking in Washington a couple of weeks ago.
"It's not our government, it's their government; the government of the rich. It's the government of Wall Street, of the oil giants, of the defense contractors; it's their government, and the only language that they understand is shutting down busines as usual. Thats what we're doing here today, and thats what we're going to continue to do until these wars are over."
These men deserve our admiration and have earned our respect.
Now, they need our support.
Go to March Forward to learn more about their fight.
Finally, the truth is coming out from inside the beast.

New Year's Meatstick
Ok, so here's where I'm at with this:
1. I have been "over" the Phish scene for a while now. Not sure why, just over it. I felt it was in my past and I could never really get the good ole days back. When I've seen them in the last few years, it felt nostalgic, like a high school reunion. I had fun, but not nearly as much fun as the late 90s.
2. I have not seen a lot of my old and dear friends because of my self-imposed hiatus from the Phish scene. Not because I do not miss them. Because I do. But because I didn't really go out of my way to get tickets for the regional shows. And when they came around, I honestly didn't really try to attend.
3. This ends now.
If I have not properly explained my passion for this Vermont band, then I humbly apologize. You see, I have been mocked and teased so much in my industry career that I have almost hidden it. I rarely speak of it because it usually lead to remarks like, "Are you fucking serious?" or "That fucking band sucks." or "Phish is a bunch of shitty players, playing shitty music, for a bunch of smelly hippies." Now, while the "smelly hippies" can be right on occasion, it most certainly does not apply to 99% of the crowd.
I think this video from MSG on New Year's eve will attest to their talent, creativity, and dedication to entertaining their fans.
Wow. I can't believe I missed this. And no, it will not happen again.
