Montbleau
I saw this kid in a room with about 40 people back in 2004 when I was registering voters with HeadCount in a vain attempt to rid this world of GWB.
Now he's playing festivals and opening up for the giants of the jamband scene.
Back to the gig. He broke a string at one point. While he replaced it, he sang an entire song acapella (sic). Literally, replacing the string as he belted out this beautiful tune. At the end of the song, the crowd fucking roared.
Then some bro in the audience yelled out, "Did you just fucking sing an entire song acapella while you fixed your guitar string?" And the crowd roared again.
I will never forget it. One of the greatest performers I have ever seen and will ever see.
Fact.
Ryan Montbleau.
This is one of the comments from YouTube:
"spacecadet1812 The next time I see him live, I swear to God, I am bringing him a bouquet of flowers and I'm walking right up to him and letting him know this song, literally, this song, which came straight out of his body like beacon, a damned lighthouse supernova, helped me see past my fathers funeral. Not to mention, its a ridiculous thing to dance to live. Like fire in your veins. So simple. But aren't all the best things that way?"
Music feeds the soul.
