What a photograph. Speechless would be an understatement.
As a sci-fi fan, I wholly encourage our NASA program.
And as an atheist human being, I believe that, of course, there is life beyond our own in the heavens.
There is no more arrogant, religious statement than the belief that our existence is the only life form in the universe.
The Universe is infinite. That should end the debate, but sadly it does not. I have spent many a night under the stars wondering about alien life. And no, drugs were not needed for enlightenment.
If you believe that our planet is the only one with life, than you are an ignorant fool. We should devote at least half of our defense budget to space exploration.
We could probably learn a few things from a more advanced global society. You know, like how to take care of a planet, its citizens, technology, health, power, and maybe even learn a bit about love.
