Be The Change

This film touches on something that has affected me my entire life.

The homeless.

Ever since I was a child, my heart has ached when I see someone begging for change, wandering the streets in rags, standing on a corner ranting irrationally, or sleeping on the pavement in the rain. I often wonder, where are their parents? Where is their family? Where are their friends? How can anyone let another human being go hungry? Be without shelter? Not get access to medication and basic health care?

Welcome to America.

We all need to do our part. Collect food. Donate clothes. Give our spare change. And volunteer our time. Sure, we are all "busy" in this modern world, but trust me, we spend more time in front of the television, ignoring phone calls when we could be spending that time constructively. Helping others. It doesn't have to be a lot. And it doesn't have to be often. But count your blessings and share your good fortune with your brothers and sisters out there in the cold. I promise, you will be glad you did.

I donate food and clothes. I give my spare change. And I volunteer my time. So can you.
